Strengthening the Ecojustice Movement conference, hosted by IRIS (Institute for Research and Innovation in Sustainability).

From one of the organizers:

[W]e held the first ever (to our pretty good knowledge) conference on the impacts of global warming on disenfranchised peoples in four countries, Canada, India, Brazil and South Africa, to feature a Canadian panel entirely composed of Indigenous speakers. Platforming Indigenous voices at academic conferences has since become de rigeur, but we were the first and it was entirely intentional.
