YUBSN was founded by Alicia Pinter and Annette Boodram following the murder of George Floyd to support nonacademic staff who self-identify as Black and part of the African diaspora. YUBSN grew rapidly and is now an active and established employee resource group, offering regular events and activities and serving as a place of engagement, support, and community.
